Three high rolling mill stand have three roll - Top , Middle and bottom.top and bottom roll rotate always same direction and Middle roll rotate opposite direction
Example:- three high rolling mill
Roll connect with pinion gear box and gear box connect to electric motor
How to calculate section weights 1:- Billet weight = Side × Side × Density × Lengths 2:- Over weights = a × b × 3.1428571429 = Area Area × Density = Weight 3:- Round weight= πr^× Density = Area × .00785= weight
When we talk, how many passes required in rolling then we calculate Number of passes Number of passes = log of coefficient of Elongation / log(1.29) Where 1:- Number of passes can be 6 , 9 , 15 , 19 , 21, 24, etc according Billet Size and Finished Size 2:- co-efficient of Elongation = Billet Area / Finished Size Area https://svinaykumar1987.blogspot.com/2021/09/section-areas-in-rolling-mill.html 3:- log(1.29)= 0.1105897103 Example:- Billet Size- 150×150 mm Billet Area- 22500 Finished Size- 20 mm Finished Area- 314 Co- efficient of Elongation = 22500 / 314 =71.656051 ...
Section Area 1:- Square Area = Side × Side 2:- Ovel Area = a × b × 3.1428571429 https://svinaykumar1987.blogspot.com/2021/09/roll-pass-design-number-of-passes.html 3:- Round Area = 3.1428571429 × r × r https://svinaykumar1987.blogspot.com/2021/08/roll-pass-design-for-continuous-bar-mill.html 4:- Rectangular Area = L × W
